| Deeply rooted in both
Punk and
early Hardcore, The New Threat, also known as “TNT," has burst onto the
scene with a take no prisoners approach. Formally known as Ten New Toes, the band changed its name in 2005 along with adding a second guitarist. TNT is most known for its intense live shows, with fans often storming the stage to sing along with their anthem style Hardcore Punk. In 2003, TNT was awarded Best New Punk Act at the Orlando Punk and Ska Awards. 2006 started out with “That’s Entertainment Magazine” selecting TNT as Punk Band of the Year. 2007 started with TNT signing to Jailhouse! Records. Under Jailhouse, TNT released a split CD with PA Punkers Our Time and is due to have a full length release in mid spring of 2008. TNT has supported bands such as: The Casualties, Agnostic Front, Madball, Street Dogs, Adolescents, Authority Zero, River City Rebels, Murphy’s Law, Ramallah, Left Alone, and The Disasters along with others. TNT has many supporters in the Hardcore/Punk Rock scene, and can many times be seen hanging out with Punk Rock legends such as Jimmy Gestapo (Murphy’s Law) Vinnie Stigma (Agnostic Front) and even Al Barr (Dropkick Murphy’s). The New Threat’s fan base is rooted in their home state of Florida and surrounding areas. Recently this base has been ever expanding through a relentless touring schedule.
